Every day at 12:00 noon, Paris time, at the same second for everyone: server time counts, not your phone's clock. Then the quiz stays playable until noon the next day.

Fast right answers earn up to 5 bonus points each. Before the tenth question, the hard one, you stake some or all of that bonus: right, the stake is added; wrong, it's lost. You hold the button to start the clock, so you never wager by mistake.

10 points per right answer, plus a 0–5 point speed bonus, plus or minus the wager. On equal points, total time breaks the tie.

Yes. Today's and tomorrow's quizzes are downloaded ahead of time, encrypted; the key is released at noon and a moment of signal is enough. Offline results are signed by the iPhone, graded when you're back online, and count for streaks and leagues (not the global leaderboard).

For the real noon quiz and the leaderboard, yes: Sign in with Apple or a code sent by email. Discovery mode plays without an account, with a simulated leaderboard.

Every answer cites its source. If a question is wrong, report it from the answer screen: it gets fixed and scores are recalculated.
